"You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains; You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas..." This song stuck in mind for a serious long time thought I still have trouble to remember the rest of the words. The version I heard at very beginning is from Westlife which is Pop group consisted by 4 guys from Ireland. Because this is a classic song at least I think it is. It was copied by several singers. Josh Groban is the first to sing this song, after that followed by Secret Garden, Selah, Westlife, Leehom, Benji. Here are the three versions that I can find: "You raise me up"by Josh Groban http://language.chinadaily.com.cn/audio/song/JoshGroban-urmu.mp3, "You raise me up" by Westlife http://language.chinadaily.com.cn/audio/song/westlife-urmu.mp3 "You raise me up" by Benji http://www.benji2u.com/englishmusic.html
I am not sure which one you guys like better. Personally I love the Josh's better because I always show respect to the original one. There are always a lot classic songs which are copied by some singers, band or whatever, because of that they will be famous easier. I am usually not a big fun of those copecats but on some point they can bring those old classic to their generation and let them get to know them. That maybe the only good point that I can think of. Anyway it is a good song. Enjoy it! |
